What is LoRaWAN Gateway LORATECH?
LORATECH Outdoor Gateway is an outdoor gateway for professional IoT (Internet of Things) networks based on LoRaWAN – 868MHz technology.
How does LoRaWAN Gateway LORATECH work?
The fully outdoor unit will provide coverage with its signal in a radius of several kilometers, using a suitable antenna a smaller municipality can be covered by one unit.
All electronics is fitted in a metal chassis with IP66 protection. Gateway is based on the IMSTs IC880A concentrator that uses the SX1301 chip provided by Semtech.
The concentrator communicates through the SPI interface with Raspberry PI3.
A reduction plate, specially developed by RVTech s.r.o. for use of GW at ISP access points, is used as an interlink.
Each point allows to connect up to tens of thousands of things. Through the gateway the data is encrypted so communication is secure.
Gateway exists in two variants:
- LORATECH GW_ALU – basic outdoor version with ethernet communication interface and POE
- LORATECH GW_ALU_4G – the design is additionally equipped with a 4G modem

Gateway LORATECH GW_ALU can be purchased at the eshop http://eshop.loratech.cz at the price of 15000 CZK excluding VAT. The GW price includes a mast mount kit, patch cable, POE adapter. On the other hand, there is no 868MHz antenna included, so it has to be ordered separately.

To launch LORATECH gateway you only need a suitable spot, 230V power supply and any internet connection. The gateway will take care of everything else itself.
